Some owners/trainers give their horses steroids. However, the use of steroids is becoming illegal in some states such as Kentucky and Maryland. Some people feel its best to run horses at an equal running field.
Lasix: Medication that helps horses to breathe better. Usually horses that bleed(through nostrils) will be given this. Other medications coming soon!
*Other types of medications that help horses to breath or not bleed are Furosemide and Butazolidin.*
