There are a variety of different types of equipment used on the horses. Some help for the benefit of the horse. Also some cannot be used anymore because injuires have occured.
Equipment
Toe grabs with a height of 4 milimeters or greater ar not allowed to be used anymore. Too many horse injuries occured.

Bandages: Are wrapped around the lower portion of the horses legs. They help prevent injuries such as clipping heels (see

Put on both sides of the horses eye. Helps tp prevent a horse from spooking or swerving into another horse during a race. :Blinkers
Shadow Roll: Helps to prevent nervous or horses that spook easliy from seeing thier shadow.
Tongue Strap: Helps prevent horses from choking during a race/workout. The strap goes over the tongue.
